For Glacier Optics, we headed up into the glacier landscape of Saas-Fee. Maxime Burri's series shows the brand's sunglasses where they are meant to be worn: in the snow, under strong sun and in front of ice falls and rocky ridges.

The 17 images combine portraits and sport. A young woman and a young man, both dressed in black and wearing beanies, model the glasses on wooden posts in deep snow, at a ski lift pole and side by side in the wind. In the last part, the snowboard comes in: a rider balancing on a tractor tyre, an upside-down trick against a deep blue sky and a wide shot in which a rider appears tiny in the terrain. The reduction to white, black and sky blue lets the lenses stand out.
