padel & ski

For The Rackets Academy AG, we brought two sports together in one picture series: padel and skiing. Outside, in the snow below a rock face, people play, jump and lie in the snow wearing ski helmets and goggles and holding padel rackets. Inside, a skier in full gear and ski boots steps onto the blue padel court and plays against a player in sportswear.

The 16 images by Maxime Burri live from this contrast. Snow flies around rackets and balls, ski boots stand next to a padel ball on the court, and at the end the skier sits in the sauna with skis and poles. In between are shots of two players in polo shirts swinging their rackets against a blue sky and flying snow. One picture shows the handshake at the net between the player and the skier.
