The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser and operating system, and the page you came from. This serves to deliver the website and to protect it against misuse. We do not analyse this data ourselves or combine it with other data.

Under the GDPR, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, pictures and videos are delivered with the website itself; no content is loaded from third parties such as Google, YouTube or Vimeo.

If you contact us via the form, by email or by phone, we process your details to answer your enquiry and to prepare a possible project. In the form these are your name, company, email address, type of project, optionally your phone number and, if you send the enquiry from a project page, that project.

The form is processed by a function at Vercel in Frankfurt (Germany) and sent as an email to info@maison1815.ch. For sending, the website uses a mailbox of Frascati GmbH with the Swiss provider Hostpoint AG; Frascati GmbH (Switzerland) looks after the website technically on our behalf. Our own mailbox is run on Microsoft 365.

Under the GDPR, the legal basis is the preparation of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep enquiries as long as we need them to deal with them, and business records as long as the law requires.

Material that clients send us for a project, such as briefings, files and pictures, is processed only for that project.

The website links to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn and to Google (business profile and reviews). These are plain links: no data is transferred until you click one of them; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

Your data is received only by the service providers named here, to the extent they need it for their task: Vercel Inc. (USA, form processing in Germany), Hostpoint AG (Switzerland), Frascati GmbH (Switzerland) and Microsoft (Microsoft 365). Beyond that, we only pass on data if the law requires it or you have consented. We do not sell data.

From a Swiss perspective, the USA does not offer an adequate level of data protection, except for companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers to the USA are based on this certification or on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) recognises.

The website is only delivered encrypted (HTTPS). We and our service providers protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

You can ask at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing and request it in a common format, unless a legal obligation prevents this. Just write to info@maison1815.ch.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, in the EU, with the data protection authority of your country.
